Review Manager (RevMan) Official Website
Review Manager (RevMan) is a specialized software package developed by Cochrane to support researchers in conducting Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. It is considered one of the most widely used tools in evidence-based medicine because it combines study organization, statistical analysis, evidence assessment, and figure generation within a single platform.
RevMan enables researchers to organize included studies, manage extracted data, assess methodological quality, perform statistical pooling, and create professional figures and tables suitable for scientific publication. The software is mainly designed for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, especially in healthcare research, although it may also support evidence synthesis projects, guideline preparation, and structured literature evaluations.
The program can generate numerous analytical outputs and graphical presentations, including forest plots, funnel plots, Risk of Bias tables and figures, Summary of Findings tables, subgroup analyses, sensitivity analyses, heterogeneity statistics, and pooled effect estimates such as Odds Ratios, Risk Ratios, Mean Differences, and Standardized Mean Differences.
Forest plots are graphical representations used to display the individual and pooled results of included studies in a meta-analysis.
