What Are Collaborators?
Collaborators are individuals, groups, institutions, or organizations that contributed to a research project but did not meet the full authorship criteria required to be listed as official authors.
Collaborators may provide:
- Technical support
- Administrative assistance
- Data collection help
- Statistical consultation
- Laboratory assistance
- Patient recruitment
- Language editing
- Funding support
- Institutional coordination
Although collaborators may not qualify as authors, their contributions are still scientifically important and should be acknowledged appropriately.
